What Is the V250 Milgard Style Line Series?

style line vinyl windows

The V250 Style Line is Milgard's core vinyl window line — designed for homeowners who want a clean, contemporary look at an accessible price point. The defining feature is the slim frame profile, which maximizes glass area, lets in more natural light, and suits modern and transitional architectural styles common throughout Southern California.

All V250 windows include standard dual-pane construction with Milgard SunCoat Low-E2 glass, warm-edge spacers, and argon gas fill — meeting ENERGY STAR v6 requirements for California's climate zone. Frames are fusion-welded vinyl that won't rot, peel, corrode, or require painting.

V250 Style Line Window Types

All five brands we carry are available across a range of operating styles. Here’s a quick overview of what’s available and when each works best:

Single-hung

The bottom sash slides up to open, while the top sash stays fixed. A smart choice for windows overlooking patios, walkways, or balconies since the sash opens vertically and never protrudes outward. The most common V250 configuration in Orange County new construction and remodels.

Horizontal Sliding

The sash slides left or right. Ideal for wide openings where a casement or single-hung would be impractical, and a good choice for windows adjacent to outdoor spaces where you don't want the window swinging outward.

Casement

Hinged on the side, casement windows swing outward with a folding handle operator that tucks out of the way when the window is closed. No rail across the middle means an unobstructed view. Excellent for ventilation — the full sash can open to catch a breeze.

Awning

Hinged at the top, awning windows swing outward from the bottom, allowing ventilation even during light rain. Often paired with picture windows for combined light and airflow.

Picture / Fixed

Fixed, non-opening windows that maximize glass area and frame a view. Commonly paired with casements or awnings to add ventilation alongside maximum natural light. Available in virtually any size.

Glass, Grid & Screen Options

Glass SunCoat Low-E2 glass comes standard on all dual-pane V250 windows. Choose from clear glass or a range of obscure glass options for privacy in bathrooms and bedrooms. Tinted glass is also available for additional solar shading.

Grids Three grid styles are available — flat grids between the glass, sculptured grids between the glass, and check rail. Grid patterns are highly customizable; we can accommodate nearly any configuration.

Screens Choose from standard mesh or Milgard's PureView mesh, which uses a finer weave for clearer outward views and better particle protection. All screens include a pull tab for easy removal.
